A driver was pronounced dead on the scene after she lost control of her car in a weather related car accident, police said.

Police say the driver was going east around 8am on a snow covered highway, half-mile west of Indiana 39 when she lost control of the vehicle she was driving. She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

Her car slid across the highway into westbound traffic and was hit on the passenger side by an oncoming truck.

The truck driver was taken to the hospital, she was complaining of pain all over her body. Officials are unsure of the severity of her injuries.
